Kati Neville talks about saving money and making great food Thursday, Feb. 3

Cover - Fix, Freeze, FeastNeed to make some cuts to your food budget, but don’t know where to start? Looking for some recipes to stretch your food dollar?

Then join us for a free “Dewey Talk” with author and warehouse club savings expert Kati Neville this Thursday, February 3, at 6:30 p.m. in the Oak Room.

Kati will cover what you need to know about trimming your food budget and making the most of grocery shopping and cooking, including making and freezing meals.

Kati Neville started filling her freezer with make-ahead meals over a decade ago. In 2002, Kati began operating Make and Take LLC, the first meal assembly business near Portland, OR. Compelled to reach more families, Kati sold Make and Take LLC in 2006 to focus on writing. Her latest book, Fix, Freeze, Feast, was released in late 2007 by Storey Publishing.

Teen Food Night/Fight this Friday, Nov. 12

Food fight!

That’s right – it’s a Teen Food Night, er Food Fight. It’s what happens when the website manager sees an “F” instead of an “N”. But it doesn’t matter, because there will indeed be a Food Fight!

(Word is that it will involve buns of some sort.)

Join in the fun as we celebrate food and its impact (pun intended) this Friday, November 12, at 6:30 p.m.

Questions? Contact the Youth Services Department at 503-570-1592 or engelfried@wilsonvillelibrary.org.

Title/Author: “Eat This, Not That! Supermarket Survival Guide” by David Zinczenko

Genre: Non-fiction – food guide

Rating: 5 out of 5

WV Reader Review: I completely recommend this book. I have learned so much about food. I’ve always tried to make the right choices but this makes it a lot easier at the grocery store. The book also explains about low fat, non-fat, and zero trans-fat. Great book to have on your own shelf.
